Jailhouse Brewing Raspberry Saison debuts at the brewery this weekend – a new beer, and a new series.
The Hampton, Georgia based brewery was once a jailhouse and courthouse around the turn of the 20th century. Jailhouse names many of their year-round beer and seasonals around the 1920's-esque jail themes. (Slammer Wheat, Breakout Stout, Restraining Order Porter… you get the idea.)
The new series is dubbed “Unshackled,” where the brewers got loose and created something a bit different from the typical lineup. Raspberry Saison is the first creation.
Brewery founder Glenn Golden tells Beer Street Journal that this new saison is light and refreshing, with hints of local raspberries. It's already hot in Georgia, this should help.
