Reader Travel Tip of the Day: Keeping Seniors Safe in the Air

reader-travel-tip2Keeping Seniors Safe in the Air

Each Friday, we feature a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week’s tip comes from reader Judy, who says:

“I have recently had three friends, in addition to myself, who have had serious cardiac/pulmonary issues arise when flying to Europe. Please encourage seniors to have a checkup from their doctors prior to traveling. Also, please encourage all travelers to purchase medical and trip insurance. I did and my medical costs and trip interruption, along with my daughter’s lodging, and flight home, were paid for. Approximately $14K was paid without any hassles or delays.”

An important message for all seniors and anyone with health conditions. Here’s my post on my own travel insurance policy and why it’s important. Thanks, Judy!
