MX-5.0
Who: Tim Howard
Where: Dayton, OH
What: 1990 Monster Miata
Why: Tim describes himself as a sucker for small cars with big engines. He built this Miata over the course of a couple years with help from several of his friends. The drivetrain includes the 5.0 and T-5 transmission sourced from a Fox-body Mustang and the independent rear suspension from a 1993 Thunderbird. He says the car is similar in dimension to a 289 Cobra, but is “easier to live with.” High praise from a guy who has owned several Corvettes and Cobra replicas.
Scenic Off-Roader
Who: Bob Ward
Where: Ontario, Canada
What: 1978 GMC Jimmy
Why: This is Bob's daily driver, and we think that's pretty cool. He says he found it in Phoenix and drove it home to Canada. He's proud of the fact that it has no rust, and he can thank the Arizona climate for that. Despite having 150,000 miles on the odometer, it's still very reliable-and looks pretty awesome in the picture.

Bizarro Issue
About the Nov. 2016 issue: barn finds. OK, so a guy finds a super-rare 1969 Boss 429 Mustang in almost brand-new condition and feels it needs a restoration? Another guy finds a rare 1970 L78 Chevelle in a outdoor storage lot where it has rusted for decades, but he won't restore this one? And you guys agree with him? Kudos, by the way, to the owner for spotting the high-rpm tachometer and figuring out it was an L78 car.

Hey, we're just showing two sides of the same coin!
Burnout!!
Doug Turner send a few pictures of him smoking the tires of his 1970 Pontiac Grand Prix. It's his daily driver and, interestingly enough, has an LS6 454 under the hood with an Erson cam, 750 Holley, a TH400, and 3.90 gears in the 10-bolt rear.
