How to Make a Hotel Room Feel More Like Home
Each Friday, we feature a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week's tip comes from reader Valencia G. of Chicago, who says:
"Anytime I stay away from home I always take my own bedding plus a light blanket. I'm aware that hotels don't clean the bedspreads between visitors so I take my own bedding.
I have had some bad experiences where the sheets had questionable stains. I now pack a sheet or two, my own pillowcases and a light blanket. Once I arrive in the room I put the hotel's blanket in the closet and I use my bedding for the duration of my stay. It feels like home when I'm sleeping under my own bedding."
Thanks, Valencia!
